Description

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to mention her speech patterns; since she's a robot, she speaks very formally, doesn't use slang, and often begins sentences with a descriptor, like "Query: ___" or "Statement: ____", to make it completely clear what she's talking about. But most importantly, she never uses the pronoun "I", or "me" or "my" or "mine", unless directly quoting someone else. So statements like "I don't know" she would say as simply "Unknown", etc. This is because she doesn't see herself as a "self", more as a third-party observer of life as it happens to others, as opposed to considering herself a participant, if that makes any sense at all. Sorry if this last-minute edit causes anyone confusion.

For :iconroulettecityoct:

Height: approx. 4’
Weight: around 150 lbs.? (The material she’s made of is relatively light, and she’s mostly hollow, so the majority of the weight would be in her internal workings, spec. head and torso)
Age: Built and activated 5 years ago

Condensed Bio: From her initial activation until approximately six months before our story begins, Heroina lived in isolation in an underground lab with her creator, a kindly but haunted woman who never left the laboratory and never spoke of her previous life. All this ended when Heroina’s creator was brutally murdered, and Heroina was catalogued in the case as evidence, until her talent for solving mysteries (a fairly natural one, as Heroina’s core programming runs on logic) led to her being secretly instated on the force as a Homicide detective.

Personality: As aforementioned, Heroina runs on the rules of logic as her basis for analyzing situations and making decisions, so she always weighs the potential risks and rewards of all the different options and then selects the most practical choice in terms of risk-to-reward ratio. (She’s not a gambler, she won’t take a huge risk if there’s a potential huge payoff, but also won’t go a no-risk route if there are no potential benefits from it.) Because of her tendency to point out obvious things in a situation, that combined with her monotone delivery can make others see her as a deadpan snarker.

Abilities: As mentioned previously, by analyzing situations based on logic (that logic being based on knowledge of situations, of people involved, etc.), she’s very good at predicting outcomes. In a fight, this translates to the longer you fight her, the more information she compiles about your preferred moves and thought processes, and the easier it’ll be for her to predict your moves and figure out how to defeat you. She’s also incredibly observant and retains memories of everything she observes—after being inside a room for less than thirty seconds, she has the layout of the room memorized and knows the inventory of everything inside the room, etc.

Fighting Style/Weapons:
Fighting Style: Since all actions are based on logical progressions and predicted outcomes, doesn’t line up with any particular discipline of fighting, unless she’s copying a specific move she’s viewed before. Mostly her moves are just whatever seems to be the most effective choice at the moment. However, she would never purposefully kill unless it was the absolute only solution possible to a situation.
Feet Air Jets: Used for high jumps, to boost her altitude. The more air sucked in, the more powerful the jump will be. Her average is between 5 and 15 feet, though if she increased the time spent sucking in and compressing air, she could probably jump higher. However, she can’t use her jets too often or too soon after her last usage, because the workings would corrode, so she tries to save it for emergencies.
Arm Grapple Gun: Can be used to fire a grappling hook and use the line to pull herself up, or can be used to trip or tie up opponents, whatever seems the most useful at the time. Probably has about 50 feet of line.
Armor: The colored pieces of her body (on the limbs, on the joints, around the neck, waist, and head) are extremely durable, hard to even crack except with very strong weapons striking the same point over and over for extended periods of time. The arm and leg guards were designed to allow her to deflect projectiles a la Wonder Woman, but could also stop blunt or bladed weapons, given their durability. The helmet is extremely important for safeguarding the mechanics inside her head, which power her thought process; although the helmet is removable, it is not done easily and it would take long sessions of close examination to figure out how to do so.
Etc: The pictured flashlight and interchangeable jacks (which might not even be compatible with Roulette City technology, depending).

Downfall/Weaknesses:
Mentally: Anything she can’t wrap her mind around, ie patently illogical/chaotic actions (she can understand someone choosing to act randomly/arbitrarily, but even then there will be a pattern or underlying motivation she can pick up on; only if there is LITERALLY no reason at all for a certain thing to happen will it really shut down her mental machinations).
Physically: She’s an incredibly complex machine, so basically if you take out her power source or damage any component of her “brain”, she’s out. The engine etc. that keeps her running is inside her chest, and the machinations for her thought process are in her head. As mentioned above the colored parts of her body are extremely durable, but the white parts are far less so, though it would be hard to pierce them unless a) it’s a huge/heavy projectile (like a cannonball), b) it’s an incredibly powerful strike at extremely close range, c) the same point has been struck multiple times, or d) the strike hits one of the invisible-to-the-naked-eye seams running completely down either side of her body.

Random Facts:
Culture Shock. She and Butch live in an alternate-universe version of the American 1950s, so even though extremely advanced technology exists (Heroina is a robot, after all), most technology historically invented after the 1960s will be alien to her, although it wouldn’t take her too long to figure out what it is or how it functions.
Memories. For the length of time Heroina is turned on, everything she experiences is recorded in video, audio, and text (extracted from the audio with annotations based on her thoughts and observations, updated in real-time) and saved on her hard drive in compressed form, so she can instantly access any “memory” from her time being active and, for example, compare it with a current situation. However, she can’t play back audio without it being broadcast through her mouth-speaker (not in her voice, though), and can’t play back video at all unless she’s hooked up to a computer or TV (although she wouldn’t need to play video at all unless she was showing something to someone else).
Sleep. When in “sleep mode”, Heroina’s body is powered off, but she remains “conscious” in that she still observes and records everything around her, so, say, trying to ambush her when she’s asleep would be useless. And though her body’s powered off, there’s still an auxiliary emergency switch so that she can power herself back up in a hurry.

Relationship with Partner: Although able to differentiate between people who are important to her and people who aren’t, the only character Heroina can really be said to have had affection for was her creator. Butch’s status with her is as “preferred ally”, as in the person she is most comfortable with in the field, and who she trusts the most as a partner, all in a very professional manner. However, she would still go out of her way to prevent him from being hurt, much more so than she would for a stranger; but at the same time she knows he’s more than capable of taking care of himself, so also trusts him to not need her watching over his every move.

To other contestants: you are allowed to kill this character, but only if it’s relevant to your story’s plotline (i.e. your character is a killer, it’s an appropriate ending given the situation, etc.) as opposed to just being an easy way to end the match.
